The Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group has officially confirmed its entry list for the fifth edition of the tournament, set to take place from June 21 to 28 at the Mallorca Country Club.
Among the most exciting returns is that of Alejandro Tabilo, the 2024 champion, who will be back in Santa Ponça to defend his title. The Chilean crowd favourite, who received strong support from the local Chilean community during his run last year, is back on tour after a wrist injury and arrives motivated to reclaim the trophy.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alejandro back,” said Toni Nadal, Tournament Director. “He played exceptional tennis last year and won the title in great style. After some time away due to injury, we know he’s eager to compete again, and we’re excited to see him back on the grass.”
Leading this year’s field is Casper Ruud, the current World No. 8 and recent champion at the Mutua Madrid Open. Other top-seeded players include Ben Shelton, semifinalist at the Australian Open; Canadian star Félix Auger-Aliassime; and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor.
The line-up also features French showman Gaël Monfils, returning fan favourite Kei Nishikori, and strong Spanish contenders Roberto Bautista Agut and Pedro Martínez, the latter recently reaching the semifinals in Buenos Aires. Not to forget the local hero Jaume Munar, who has played a very good season so far and will surely be supported by Mallorcan fans.
The main draw blends top talent and exciting matchups, with names like Alex Michelsen, Alexandre Muller, Jordan Thompson, Ugo Carabelli and promising Canadian youngster Gabriel Diallo.
“This year we have one of our strongest fields yet,” added Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of the organizing e|motion Group. “It’s a fantastic mix of experienced names and rising stars. We’re looking forward to another unforgettable week of world-class grass-court tennis in Mallorca.”
One of the wildcards is reserved for Nick Kyrgios. The other wildcards for the main draw and the final qualifiers will be announced soon. But with this entry list, Mallorca once again confirms its place as a key stop on the road to Wimbledon.
