Alejandro Davidovich Fokina will return to the grass courts of the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Championships this summer, becoming the first Spanish player confirmed for the 2026 edition. The ATP 250 event, the only grass‑court tournament in southern Europe, takes place from 20–27 June at the Mallorca Country Club.
Currently established inside the world’s Top 20, Davidovich Fokina arrives in one of the strongest spells of his career. The 26‑year‑old has become a consistent contender at major ATP events, regularly reaching the latter stages thanks to his athleticism, intensity and all‑court versatility.
His recent progress has also translated well to grass, where his speed and adaptability have made him an increasingly dangerous opponent during the build‑up to Wimbledon.
Davidovich Fokina is no stranger to Mallorca, having competed at the tournament in 2023. This year, he returns aiming to push deeper into the draw in a setting known for combining world‑class tennis with a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.
“Playing in Spain is always special, and Mallorca has a unique feel to it,” he said. “The level is high, the setting is incredible, and the fans really get behind you. I’m excited to come back and hope to put together a strong week.”
The tournament has already confirmed Frances Tiafoe, Nick Kyrgios, Yannick Hanfmann and Jan‑Lennard Struff for the 2026 field. Further player announcements will follow in the coming weeks.
