The 25-year-old came from a set down to beat Hungary’s Fábián Marozsán and secure a place in the sixth ATP final of his career.
Davidovich said spending time with his team away from tennis had made a significant difference during the week.
“It may sound silly, but the key has been having dinner with my team every day,” he said.
“We’ve been enjoying ourselves, going for walks and not thinking only about tennis. My coach helps me stay in the present and not overthink.”
Reflecting on his semi-final victory, Davidovich said the match turned on fine margins.
“The first set came down to a few details. I thought it would go to a tie-break, but I lost it at 6-5. Even then I felt good and could see he was getting a bit tired,” he said.
“I took my chances early in the second set, and that helped me turn things around.”
The Spaniard highlighted a crucial moment late in the decider, when he saved 0-40 on return at 4-4 before breaking serve.
“Everything happened very quickly. From 40-0 to deuce, it could go either way, but I took my chance,” he added.
Davidovich said he was relishing the opportunity to compete in another final.
“I feel great. I’m in a final and really looking forward to it.”
He also praised the home support at the Mallorca Country Club.
“Having the crowd behind you is very important. At key moments they gave me a big push, especially at 4-4. That helped me raise my level.”
