The Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Championships continues to strengthen its player line-up with the confirmation of Luciano Darderi, one of the most in-form players on the ATP Tour.

The Italian is currently enjoying the best season of his career, firmly established among the world’s top players and inside the Top 20, marking a clear breakthrough at the highest level of the ATP circuit.

Darderi will return to the Mallorca Country Club after competing in the 2024 edition, where he already experienced the demands of the Wimbledon-certified grass courts — a key surface in the build-up to the London Grand Slam.

Beyond the sporting aspect, his presence also carries a personal connection to the island. Born in Argentina and raised in Italy, Darderi finds Mallorca’s Mediterranean environment particularly familiar, providing added comfort and motivation at the start of the grass-court season.
