The Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Championships 2026 will once again feature its reigning champion. Tallon Griekspoor has confirmed his participation and will return to the grass courts of the Mallorca Country Club determined to defend the title he claimed in 2025.

The Dutchman delivered an outstanding performance last year, defeating Corentin Moutet in a high-quality final (7–5, 7–6) in a match defined by intensity, demanding conditions and fine margins. Solid on serve and clinical in the key moments, Griekspoor managed the pressure brilliantly to lift the trophy in Mallorca.

At 28, he also became the oldest champion in the history of the tournament, securing the third ATP title of his career and further underlining his strong credentials on grass.

Griekspoor’s connection with Mallorca goes beyond competition. He regularly trains at the Mallorca Country Club, reinforcing his confidence and comfort in a venue he knows well.

Winning here was something very special and it’s a memory I carry with me,” said Griekspoor after confirming his return. “I’m really looking forward to coming back to Mallorca, especially because I train at the club quite often and feel very comfortable here. Being able to enjoy this particular tournament atmosphere again — the grass, the surroundings and the fans — is hugely motivating for me”, said Griekspoor.

Tournament director Toni Nadal also welcomed his return: “Having the defending champion back is always important for a tournament. Tallon knows our facilities well, understands how to play on grass and has built a special relationship with Mallorca. His return strengthens the sporting profile of the event and is great news for the fans.”

With Griekspoor confirmed, the tournament continues to strengthen its line‑up for 2026. Alexander Bublik, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Frances Tiafoe, Nick Kyrgios, Yannick Hanfmann and Jan‑Lennard Struff have already been announced, with more names still to come.
