With only weeks to go until the start of the tournament, the Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans continues to take shape with the announcement of new players, key partnerships, and upgrades at the venue. Tournament Director Toni Nadal and e|motion group CEO Edwin Weindorfer shared the latest news today during a press conference at Parc de la Mar in Palma.

Three additional players have been confirmed for the main draw: Kei Nishikori, Félix Auger-Aliassime, and Pedro Martínez. They join Ben Shelton, Gaël Monfils, Nick Kyrgios, and Norway’s Casper Ruud, fresh off his victory at the Mutua Madrid Open. The full tournament line-up, taking place from 21 to 28 June at the Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponça, will be announced on Monday, 26 May.

“Casper is in fantastic form and having him with us is a privilege,” said Nadal. “With Kei, Félix and Pedro also confirmed, we’re looking forward to a world-class week of grass court tennis. This year’s line-up is not only strong in terms of ranking, but also in the variety and excitement of the players.”

Japanese star Kei Nishikori, a former world No. 4, will make his debut at the tournament. A US Open finalist in 2014 and bronze medallist at the Rio 2016 Olympics, he holds 12 ATP titles. Grass remains the only surface on which he has yet to lift a trophy.

Currently ranked No. 20 in the world, Félix Auger-Aliassime arrives in Mallorca following two ATP titles this year and a previous quarterfinal run at Wimbledon in 2021. At just 24, he is already a well-established name on the tour.

Pedro Martínez from Valencia becomes the first Spanish player confirmed for this year’s edition. On 17 February, he reached a career-high ATP ranking after reaching the semifinals at the Argentina Open. Just days earlier, he defeated Holger Rune 6-4, 6-1 in Rotterdam, and contributed two crucial points for Spain in the Davis Cup qualifying round.

“We’re proud to welcome players of this calibre. The line-up is very international, with top-level talent. But beyond tennis, we aim to deliver a complete experience,” said Edwin Weindorfer.

New partner: ecotrans Group

The logistics and transport company ecotrans Group joins the Mallorca Championships as the tournament’s new presenting partner. Founded in 2009, the company operates a fleet of more than 500 vehicles and employs over 650 people across Europe.

“You can't run a top-level tournament without logistics,” said Weindorfer. “While we work closely with local suppliers, there are some things we simply need to bring in from abroad – and we’re pleased to have professionals like ecotrans on board.”

Bartosz Wojszin, CEO of ecotrans Group, added: “We are proud to be the presenting partner of the Mallorca Championships. It’s a fantastic tournament, and being involved here on my favourite island is a dream come true.”

Weindorfer also thanked all tournament sponsors. “I want to thank all our partners, both public and private. Their support is essential to the event and shows how important the tournament has become here in Mallorca,” he added.

Fine dining with Rauschenberger

Another new addition this year is the inclusion of German hospitality group Rauschenberger as the new operator of the Mallorca Country Club’s restaurant and partial provider of tournament catering. With more than 40 years of experience in premium gastronomy and events, the company brings expertise and quality to both club members and tournament guests.

“A tournament is defined by the details. We want our players, guests, and sponsors to enjoy a high-quality experience in every sense,” said Weindorfer.

Family Day: Free entry for children under 12 on the tournament’s opening Sunday

To conclude, Pilar Carbonell, Director of e|motion Sports España, announced the return of the popular "Family Day": “On Sunday, 22 June, children under 12 will have free entry. It's the perfect way to kick off the school holidays with a fun family outing,” she said.

The press conference also welcomed key local officials, including Marcial Rodríguez, Executive Councillor for Tourism of the Consell de Mallorca; Paco Ferrer, Deputy Director of AETIB; Juan Antonio Amengual, Mayor of Calvià; and David Salom, Director General of Sports for the Palma City Council.
