Santiago Gonzalez and Austin Krajicek extended their winning streak to 12 matches on Saturday at the Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group.

The Mexican-American duo saved three match points in a nervy end to their 6-1, 1-6, 15/13 championship-match victory over fourth seeds Yuki Bhambri and Robert Galloway. With their victory, Gonzalez and Krajicek capped a run of three consecutive titles on grass, including wins at the ATP 250 in Stuttgart, the ATP Challenger Tour event in Nottingham and the 250 in Mallorca.

“It feels amazing, it’s been a really good stretch,” said Krajicek. “We’re excited to get to Wimbledon next week and compete in London, but we will enjoy this for sure. It feels really good to be back in the winner's circle, and we’ll hopefully continue that into Wimbledon.”

It All Adds Up

Gonzalez added: “Winning three titles in a row [gives us] a lot of confidence going into Wimbledon. Hopefully we can keep it going. It’s not going to be easy but with the confidence we have, hopefully it will be there for the first match.”

After teaming for the first time in April, Gonzalez and Krajicek are now 10-3 at Tour-level, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. They are the second pair to claim multiple ATP Tour titles on grass this year after the British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool.

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool continued their stellar grass-court season Friday at the Lexus Eastbourne Open, where they claimed their second consecutive ATP Tour title.

The British duo delivered a 6-4, 7-6(5) championship-match triumph against Ariel Behar and Joran Vliegen in windy conditions to lift its fourth trophy of the season. After reaching the final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and winning the ATP 500 on home soil at Queen’s Club last week, Cash and Glasspool improved to an 11-1 record on grass this year, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.

“[It’s been] a crazy three weeks for us, going three finals in a row,” said Cash. “Thanks to our team for putting in the hours. It’s been a tough shift but I’m glad we’ve been able to pick up some trophies, and this one’s a special one.”

After improving to 2-0 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series with Behar and Vliegen, Cash and Glasspool are up to No. 3 in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings. They are aiming to make their team debut at the Nitto ATP Finals after teaming for the first time in Hangzhou last September.

“You guys coming out and being so supportive, it really feels like a home tournament,” added Glasspool. “It’s amazing to play in such a great atmosphere, we really do appreciate it.”
