Jack Draper will face Brandon Nakashima in his return to action next week at the Lexus Eastbourne Open following Saturday’s draw.

The British lefty has not competed since Barcelona in April but will take to court at the ATP 250 event in Eastbourne and will have Andy Murray courtside. The ATP No. 1 Club Member Murray is coaching Draper during the grass-court season.

Draper – making his second appearance in Eastbourne after a 2022 semi-final run – and Nakashima are both in the bottom half of the draw alongside second seed Joao Fonseca, who will start against a qualifier. Nakashima is in semi-final action at The Queen’s Club on Saturday, having upset top seed Alex de Minaur in the last eight. Draper has defeated Nakashima in the pair's two previous grass-court meetings and leads their Lexus ATP Head2Head series 2-1 overall. The winner would play British wild card Jack Pinnington Jones or Argentine Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

Record four-time Eastbourne champion Taylor Fritz is the top seed and begins against Alexei Popyrin or a qualifier. Fritz is seeded to meet third seed Francisco Cerundolo in the semi-finals. The 2023 winner Cerundolo plays British wild card Jacob Fearnley or Thiago Agustin Tirante in his opener.

Darderi/Davidovich Fokina lead Mallorca field
Luciano Darderi and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are the top two seeds at the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Championships. Darderi will play Yannick Hanfmann or Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in his opening match, while Davidovich Fokina could play wild card Nick Kyrgios. The Australian starts against a qualifier at the grass-court ATP 250.

Grigor Dimitrov has received a wild card and takes on a qualifier in Mallorca. The Bulgarian has not played at a tour-level event since Madrid in April but did compete on grass at the ATP Challenger in Dublin this week. The #NextGenATP Spaniard Martin Landaluce plays Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round, while Stefanos Tsitsipas opens against fifth seed Ignacio Buse.

Third seed Frances Tiafoe will take on Ethan Quinn or Valentin Royer in the second round and is in the same half as top seed Darderi.

The ATP 250 event in Mallorca begins Sunday, while main draw play at Eastbourne starts on Monday.
